"Harbor with Culture"
In February 2025, our library was visited by children from the Kraina Bajek Non-Public Kindergarten. During the meeting, they learned how to use the "Przyznań z Kulturą" library and viewed an exhibition of Andrzej Sudoł's works, which they could also explore by touch.

Opening at the White Barracks February 2025

On Saturday, February 15, the Multimedia Library of Ostróda County "Przystań z Kulturą" hosted the opening of the exhibition of paintings by Andrzej Sudoł, which was attended by many guests interested in the artist's work. The event was attended by the Mayor of the Ostróda Commune Bogusław Fijas, Deputy Mayor Cezary Wawrzyński, city councilors - Anna Rutkiewicz, Julian Pawłowski and Kamil Krzyżanowski and a special guest - Professor Regina Siniakiewicz (Jan Bażyński High School), who taught Mr. Andrzej Sudoł art.
In a room filled to the brim with guests, the artist from Samborów presented his extraordinary sensory paintings. He spoke about his fascination with Van Gogh and his works, as well as about the interesting life path that led him to art.
Why does the artist create such interesting works related to sensory plastic techniques? You could learn about this during the vernissage. Namely, when Andrzej Sudoł had vision problems, he had to undergo a serious eye surgery. This inspired him to create images that could be read by blind or visually impaired people. In this way, he transformed his own weakness into something positive and inspiring.
Works inspired by the works of Vincent van Gogh and the prototype of the world's first multisensory painting could be seen at the exhibition.
The exhibition will be available until March 13 – you are welcome during library opening hours.

The visit of the writer Tomasz Wandzel to the municipal library in Ostróda and his advice regarding the texture of my paintings became the starting point for the implementation of the idea of creating a gallery with multisensory paintings.
